Private Patients
In addition to his NHS work, Niall Patton has private consulting rooms at The Alexandra Hospital, Cheadle and the Centre for Vision, Manchester Royal Eye Hospital. Advantages of being a private patient include avoiding waiting lists, choosing one's surgeon, choosing when they wish to have outpatient appointments and/or surgery, the care of the individual being completely undertaken by the consultant, and facilities for private patients tend to be of a higher standard. Patients may either have health insurance or be self paying. Usually, no referral letter is necessary.
Out of Hours Emergency Eye Service
Niall Patton MB ChB, MD, FRCOphth provides an acute out-of-hours service for ophthalmic emergencies for private patients. Patients can be seen either at the Manchester Royal Eye Hospital, or the Alexandra Hospital. He will contact you as soon as possible for urgent appointments.
